We usually avoid trying a new restaurant for a special occasion like Father's Day, but I had it on good authority that this was a special place. Indeed it was. We were given a table at the border between the dining room and the covered patio. We were promptly given our choice of waters, and began studying the menu intensely. This is Belgian food, but the meny looked very French - the type of food that is almost impossible to find on this island. Our server Carlos was the crowning touch - there is good, friendly, attentive service and it enhances the meal. Then there is superb service, and that makes the meal a memorable occasion. His warmth and enthusiasm for the food will be long remembered. My birthday isn't so far off....
